Your DNA Blueprint

The days of one-size-fits-all are over. Your genes already know what works for you.

Precision Health Guided by Your DNA

Opening

Trial and error is not a strategy.

Here's a question I ask every new patient: how do you know the diet you're on is right for you? How do you know the supplement you take every morning is one your body can actually use? How do you know whether hormone therapy will help you or work against you?

For most people the honest answer is they don't. They're guessing. They read something, they tried it, it helped or it didn't, and they moved on to the next thing. That's not a strategy. That's trial and error with your own body.

Your DNA removes the guesswork. It shows how you process nutrients, clear toxins, metabolize hormones, respond to different kinds of exercise, handle caffeine and alcohol, regulate mood and stress, and age. It's the instruction manual you were born with. I read it and I build your plan from it.

What your genes actually tell me

Some examples, and how each one changes what I do.

Methylation

A large share of people carry variants in the MTHFR gene that reduce their ability to process folate and B vitamins. If you're one of them, the standard B vitamin in your multivitamin does very little for you. You need the activated form. Same for B12. This is a simple fix that changes energy, mood, and cardiovascular risk, and most people never find out.

Hormone metabolism

Your genes determine how you break down estrogen and whether you send it down a protective pathway or an inflammatory one. That's central to whether hormone therapy is a good idea for you and how it should be dosed. I want to know this before I prescribe, not after.

Detoxification

Variants in the genes that clear toxins from your body mean some people accumulate what others flush. If you're a slow detoxifier, environmental exposure matters more for you, and supporting those pathways is part of your plan.

Stress and mood

The COMT gene affects how quickly you clear dopamine and adrenaline. Slow clearers feel stress more intensely and longer. That changes what kind of exercise helps you, what supplements calm you, and how you should think about caffeine.

Cardiovascular

Genetic variants in lipid processing, inflammation, and blood pressure regulation tell me where your real risk is, which is often different from what a standard cholesterol panel suggests.

What you get

A report you can act on, not a PDF you file away.

A saliva test, collected at home. Three to four weeks later, a full genomic report across hormones, methylation, detox, cardiovascular health, metabolism, mood, sleep, and longevity.

Then a 60-minute consultation where I walk you through what matters in your results and what doesn't. Most people who order a DNA test on their own get a hundred-page PDF and no idea what to do with it. That's not what this is.

Then a written DNA Blueprint: your nutrition approach, your supplement protocol with the specific forms your body can use, your exercise type, your sleep and stress strategy, and any flags I want to watch over time. This is a document you keep and use. Your genes don't change. The plan lasts.

Why this comes first

Everything else is more precise once I have it.

If you're considering hormone therapy, your genetic results tell me how you'll metabolize what I prescribe. If you have gut symptoms, your genes tell me whether you're prone to inflammation and poor nutrient absorption. If you're trying to lose weight, your genes tell me whether you respond better to endurance or strength training, and whether your body handles carbohydrates or fats more efficiently.

It's the foundation. Everything else I do is more precise when I have it.

FAQ

Questions I get asked most.

Is this like 23andMe?

No. 23andMe is built around ancestry and a few health flags. This is functional genomics, meaning it looks at the genes that determine how your body processes nutrients, hormones, toxins, and stress, and translates that into what you should actually do. Different test, different purpose.

Does my DNA change?

No. You do this once. The report and the plan are yours for life. What changes is how your genes are expressed, which is influenced by everything you do. The point of the Blueprint is to work with your genetics instead of against them.

What if I find something scary?

This test does not diagnose disease and it isn't designed to. It shows tendencies and pathways. If something comes up that warrants medical follow-up, I'll tell you and we'll handle it. For most people, the results are clarifying rather than frightening. They finally explain why certain things never worked.

Is my genetic data private?

I do not share your genetic data with anyone. Your results live in a secure portal that only you and I can access. The lab has its own privacy terms, and I will walk you through them before you order so you know exactly how your sample and data are handled.

How do I get started?

Book a free consultation. I'll explain what the test covers, what I'd be looking for in your specific case, and whether it's the right starting point for you. Some people should start here. Some should start with hormones or the gut. The call is where we figure that out.
