The Methodology

Embody Your Medicine™

"Relationship is not the setting the medicine happens in. It is the medicine."

Embody Your Medicine is the method: Eastern and Western medicine, measured rather than guessed, delivered by one physician who stays.

We begin with the state of your nervous system, because state determines response probability: the same food, the same hormone, the same medicine lands differently in a body standing watch than in a body at ease.

The work runs in order: regulate, repopulate, rebuild. And where a depleted system needs help while it heals, we use bridges honestly named as bridges: thyroid hormone, progesterone, estradiol, metabolic medicines where indicated, each with an exit plan, a bridge and never the antidote.

The goal is a body that manufactures its own medicine again, and a shorter list next year than this year.

Why This Exists

The form, and the whole person

Every system that cares for people uses a form: a template, a code, a panel, a checklist, a seven-minute visit. The form decides what can be seen. Whatever does not fit it becomes normal, out of scope, or your fault. I practice on the other side of the form. I attend to the whole person: your story, the pattern over time, what your body is doing at night, and the numbers, measured rather than assumed.

Beside the person

There are two places a physician can sit. Across the desk, where the form is. Or beside the person. I moved my chair years ago, and it changed the medicine. Relationship is medicine. The alliance between us is the instrument of care, not the setting for it.

A trajectory, not a snapshot

One lab result is a photograph. Three years of results is a film. I read the film. A person is a direction over time, and that is why every program here includes a re-measure, and why the membership exists.

Data in the open

Four commitments. Every price is published, including what is not included. We say who a treatment is not for. Follow-through is inside the unit of care, not sold separately: the integration session is part of the ketamine session, the results visit is part of the Baseline, the written plan is part of the consult. And what we measure, we show: beginning January 2027, a quarterly report of what this practice measured and what changed, whatever it shows.

What This Is

The practice is the ecosystem. Embody Your Medicine™ is the method that runs through it.

The Thirteen is the full expression of the method, a year-long precision health program for twelve women, led by Dr. Kristy King, MD.

The aim is not symptom suppression. It is the conditions in which a body remembers how to repair itself.

One Idea, Expressed Four Ways

The same claim, carried four ways: biology read honestly, a physician who reads it with you, a community, and a place.
ContinuityThe same method, applied consistently across time. Testing read as a trajectory, not a single result, but a pattern that builds meaning over the arc of care.
TranslationBiology is read, not instructed. We listen to what the body is already communicating before we ask it to change.
BelongingCommunity as clinical intervention. The presence of other people moving through the same arc is not an enhancement to the work. It is the work.
ContextLand, ocean, season, lineage, microbiome, hormones. One conversation, not many.

The aim of all four, together, is not symptom suppression. It is the conditions in which a body remembers how to repair itself.

Five Movements, Repeated Over Time

  1. I.Arrive: settle before anything is asked of you.
  2. II.Listen: history and testing build the picture.
  3. III.Move: the body changes through practice, not data alone.
  4. IV.Integrate: one physician reads everything together.
  5. V.Return: re-test, re-enter. The method continues, and so does the relationship with your own biology.

Test, treat, retest

The loop is not a metaphor. It is measured.

Objective testing sits at Arrive. Before anything is prescribed or recommended, we take a baseline: laboratory work, a neuro-assessment where it is relevant, validated symptom measures, and your own account of how you are living. That baseline is what everything afterward is compared against.

Listen and Move are where the baseline is interpreted and acted on. Integrate is where the change is practised long enough to become ordinary. And Return is where we test again, on purpose, using the same measures we started with, so the question of whether this is working is answered by evidence rather than by impression.

A retest that shows little movement is not a failure of the method. It is information, and it changes the next loop. That is the whole reason the method is a loop and not a line. Begin with the Comprehensive Assessment

ʿAnoʿano · Kupu · Kumu

Seed. Sprout. Tree.

The five movements map the method. The three phases map the arc of becoming. Every program in this ecosystem moves through all three: from the seed of the baseline, through the activation of the protocol, into the living structure that sustains health over time.

ʿAnoʿano

Seed

Arrive and Listen. We map the baseline before anything is prescribed. Genomics, hormones, gut, environment, nervous system: the full internal landscape, read honestly. The seed is planted in understanding.

Kupu

Sprout

Move and Integrate. The protocol comes alive. The body changes through practice, through retreat, through the presence of a physician reading everything together. The sprout finds direction.

Kumu

Tree · Living Structure

Return. The work becomes the life. Re-test, re-enter, refine. A durable health architecture that does not depend on constant intervention, because the body has remembered how to regulate itself. The tree has roots now.

ʿAnoʿano. Kupu. Kumu. The arc does not close. It rises.

How We Read Your Biology

Understanding how your biology is built to respond.

Genomics is one important way of understanding how a person's biology is predisposed to respond to stress, hormones, nutrition, movement, toxins, and recovery. It is a starting map, not a verdict: read once, and read alongside everything that changes after it. The data illuminates. It does not decide. Your body was communicating long before any instrument was ordered.

  • Longitudinal Physiological Trend Analysis: re-read every few months, by the same physician. A single set of labs is a photograph. A series of labs becomes a portrait.
  • Genomic Terrain Mapping: the fixed ground you were built on: how your particular biology tends to respond to stress, hormone shifts, and the demand of recovery. We read it once, and read everything else against it.
  • Hormone Rhythm Assessment: how your hormones move across a day and a cycle, not just where they sit in a single draw.
  • Microbial Ecology Assessment: the function of your gut ecosystem, not just what lives there.
  • Environmental Load Assessment: brought in only when your history suggests it matters.

Specific instruments are selected carefully and may change as the field develops. What stays constant is this structure.

What This Produces

What changes, and how we know.

  • Connection: whether the people and places in your life feel like support or static.
  • Regulation: whether your body has the capacity to meet the day, and to recover from it.
  • Clarity: whether you understand what's happening in your own biology well enough to act on it.

These are tracked not because the numbers determine the truth, but because most people have spent years learning to distrust what they feel. The questions exist to help you hear yourself again. Change is something we can point to rather than something we hope happened.

Why This Is Different

This is not a protocol, a perk, or a number to chase.

It is not the practitioner-network model that hands you a protocol and moves on. It is not concierge access without a method behind it. And it is not the optimization chase that turns a body into a dashboard. It is one method, applied consistently: testing read as a trajectory, relationship treated as part of the treatment, and a community built into the design rather than left to chance.

Learning the Method

A method that can be learned.

Embody Your Medicine™ is also a teaching method, and training for physicians and aligned practitioners is in early development.
