Hawaiʻi Island

First responders

Tiga Kailimai, HHP, founded the First Responder Wellness Program at Longevity Labs in 2024 for firefighters, paramedics, rescue, police, and veterans on Hawaiʻi Island. Dr. King is the program's physician. Together we are building a twelve-month, ten-person, physician-led program: nervous system training with heart rate variability biofeedback, sleep and circadian repair, structured recovery protocols, and continuous nightly measurement from day one.

What we will publish

Our success criteria are stated in advance and our results will be published at six and twelve months, whatever they show. We will report what was measured, how, over what period, what changed, and what participants themselves said, with the limits stated. This program tests a bundle of care, not the isolated effect of any one part.

What we will not claim

We will not present participants' written statements as results, a wearable's classification as a clinical measurement, or a prediction as an outcome.

Patrons

The program is funded by patrons rather than grants so that it can begin now. About $12,500 carries one first responder through twelve months. We intend for contributions to flow through a Hawaiʻi first responder nonprofit as fiscal sponsor; until that is confirmed in writing, a commitment is a pledge and no tax deductibility is promised. Patrons receive the same reports the public does.
